Tesla has launched just one model in India – the Model Y. It comes in two variants:
- Model Y RWD (Standard) – ₹59.89 lakh (ex-showroom), approx. 500 km range
- Model Y Long Range RWD – ₹67.89 lakh (ex-showroom), approx. 622 km range
The on-road price in Mumbai is expected to be between ₹65 lakh and ₹79 lakh. These prices are higher due to steep import duties, as Tesla has not started local manufacturing in India yet.
Battery Range, Performance & Speed
Tesla stands out for its battery tech and performance. The standard Model Y offers up to 500 km range, while the long-range variant delivers up to 622 km. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 5.8 to 6.9 seconds, giving it an edge over most electric vehicles currently available in India.
Supercharger Network in India
Tesla is launching its Supercharger network starting from Mumbai, with 16 Superchargers in and around BKC. Expansion to Delhi and Bangalore is planned in the next phase.

- Supercharger: 80% charge in 15–20 minutes
Early customers will receive free home charger installation.
